Where to find it

Edit toolParameters

Steps

  1. In the tool's tab, click Parameters.

Parameters open beside the tool: Type Standard, Width 1800 and Depth 400, both Instance
  2. Click New for a new Type. Type its name and press Enter.

A new Type, MSB typed as its name
  3. Type the Type's values. The drawing follows.

MSB: Width 2400, Depth 600, and the drawing at that size
  4. Click Instance to make a parameter a Type one.

Width Instance, Depth switched to Type
A Type value is the same on every copy of that Type. An Instance value can differ on each copy, and has handles on the sheet.
  5. A Formula works a value out from others. The Downlight's Right is Width/2.

The Downlight: Right, Left, Front and Back each worked out by a formula, Width/2 or Depth/2, a green dot by each
A green dot means the formula is working.
  6. Click Done. Pick the Type in the tool's properties as you place it.

Switchboard in hand: its Type list open, Standard and MSB
